| PVC Film Quality And Sustainability Label |
the products adhere to PVC Information Center together with other Pvc produceers companies; through this Center a voluntary quality and sustainability label for PVC films (and calendered products) was conceived ,as a further guarantee of environmental and consumer safety and health protection.
The use of the label is allowed only for PVC-based films produced by the companies adhering to “Gruppo Film” of the Information Centre meeting the following criteria:
1. formulations: the following are not used:
a) stabilisers or other additives based on lead as well as other heavy metals such as Cd, Hg, Cr VI;
b) organostannic stabilisers such as TBT and DBT
c) plasticisers such as DEHP, BBP and DBP
d) carcinogenic and allergenic pigments
(accepted threshold values are determined by the ÖKO-Tex® standard 100, and 01/2007);
2. Quality: the films must comply with the technical performance required for by each application.
3. Environment: the company that produces the film granted by the quality label must be ISO 14000 certified or, awaiting to obtain such certificate, it must adhere to the Federchimica Responsible Care® programme;
4. Production: alongside complying with all the existing regulations, the plant implements all the measures needed to minimise the amount of waste material to be disposed of, and to ensure the workers safety. . |
